Using Home and Lens in Kai App

Home: how am I doing right now?

1. Set your time window first

The period pills (Last 30, 60, 90 Days, Last 6 Months) control every number on Home and Lens. Your choice carries into Lens and is remembered between visits. The default is Last 30 Days.

2. Read My Performance

  • Total Visits and Charts Analyzed are the denominators. Small numbers mean the scores are noisier. The arrow chip compares against the prior window of the same length.
  • RSQ® tile: your headline score (Risk, Safety, Quality), trend and peer rank. Click it to see sub-domain bars for History, Physical Exam, MDM, Vital Signs and Labs + Imaging against an 80% goal marker, with a link into Lens.
  • FFS, VBC and IPA show as dashed N/A tiles. These domains are not connected yet; Kai never shows a made-up number.

3. Scan Recent Activity

Up to five items, alerts first: coral for alerts, teal for stats, green for wins. Make it your first glance each visit, then investigate any named area in Lens.

4. Open View My Plan

A short AI summary with your Strengths (keep doing these) and Greatest opportunities, ranked by impact, each showing Current vs Goal. Pick one opportunity, change that documentation habit for a couple of weeks, then reopen the plan to watch it move. If the plan is still processing, there are not yet enough analyzed charts in the window.

Lens: where exactly am I losing points?

1. Scan the complaint list

  • Domain pills: stay on RSQ®; the others show a not-connected note for now.
  • Sort: choose Score, ascending, to put your weakest complaint on top.
  • Each row shows the score, trend vs the prior period, N= (charts behind the number), your peer rank, and the share of your charts it represents. Prioritize low scores on high-share complaints.
  • The goal tick is your target: a goal set by your organization in Vida, or the 50% default when none is set. The bar turns green when you meet it.

2. Drill into a complaint

Click a row to open four tabs. Work them left to right:

  • Summary: score vs goal, a Why This Matters card with the clinical rationale, and key stats.
  • Indicators: every scored element grouped as History, Risk Factors, Physical Exam, MDM and Vitals. Sort by worst score and tap the info icon for the clinical definition. Per-indicator goals default to 40%.
  • Trends: monthly bars for the last four calendar months. This tab ignores the time-period picker.
  • Plan: strengths and opportunities scoped to this complaint. Leave with one action.

Good to know: indicators tagged Qualifier gate other indicators and do not score themselves. Vitals display as compliance percentages so higher is always better.

A five-minute routine

  1. On Home, set Last 90 Days and click the RSQ® tile.
  2. Open View My Plan and pick your top opportunity.
  3. In Lens, sort by Score ascending, open your weakest complaint, read Why This Matters, then expand the lowest-scoring indicator group.
