Getting started with Kai App
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Kai App is your personal documentation-performance workspace. It shows how your charting scores, which chief complaints need attention, and a plan to improve.
Signing in
- Open Kai App at the address your organization provided.
- Click Continue with Microsoft and complete your normal Microsoft sign-in.
- You return to the app automatically, on the page you originally asked for.
There is no separate Kai password. Sign-in uses your organization's Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on, and your session ends when you close the browser, which makes it safe on shared workstations. If you see "Entra ID is not configured" with a disabled button, contact your administrator.
Getting around
The whole app is four destinations:
- Home: how am I doing right now? Scores, trends, peer rank, recent activity and your AI plan.
- Lens: where exactly am I losing points? Analysis by chief complaint, down to individual indicators.
- Sully (coming soon): an AI assistant for asking questions about your performance in plain language.
- Curate (coming soon): training assigned to your problem areas.
On desktop these sit in an icon rail on the left; on screens narrower than 900px they become tabs pinned to the bottom. The Kai logo always returns you Home. The header has a light/dark toggle and your avatar menu, which shows your name, email, Provider NPI and Sign out.
The one account setting that matters: your NPI
Every personalized number in Kai App is tied to your provider NPI. If your account is not linked, you will see a banner reading "Your NPI isn't configured" and N/A in place of scores and rank. Check the Provider NPI row in the avatar menu; if it reads Not assigned, ask your IT administrator to add your NPI to your Microsoft profile (or email support@kaihealth.ai). Dismissing the banner only hides it for the session.
Score colors
- 80% and up: excellent
- 65 to 79%: good
- Below 65%: needs attention
- Grey or N/A: no data in this window, never a low score
