Setting goals in Vida
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Goals are the only thing you write in Vida; everything else is reading. Every goal applies to your whole organization. A goal set from inside one provider's view applies to everyone, not just that provider.
Two kinds of goal
- Chief complaint goal: open a complaint from section 02 and click Set goal (or Goal N% · Edit) at the bottom of the drill-down.
- Indicator goal: in any trend drill-down, click the Goal button on an indicator row.
Setting the target
- Check the current chip: "No goal yet · default 40%" means you are creating one; "Current N%" means you are editing.
- Drag the slider for a rough value (ticks at 60 and 85), type an exact whole number from 0 to 100, or click a preset: 70, 80, 85, 90 or 95. 85 is the Excellent line.
- Click Set goal. Every panel refreshes and the new goal appears straight away as a chip in section 02 and as a tick in the drill-downs.
Before you save
- The 40% default is a placeholder, not a recommendation. Pick a deliberate target.
- Goals cannot be deleted in Vida yet. You can edit them later from the same place you created them.
Your providers see these goals too
Goals set in Vida appear as the goal markers providers see in Kai App: on the complaint bars in Lens and on each indicator. Setting a goal in Vida is how you tell every provider in your organization what "good" looks like.
