Getting started with Kai Vida

Last updated: September 29, 2026

Kai Vida is the system-level counterpart to Kai App. Kai App asks "how am I doing?"; Vida asks "how are we doing, and who needs attention?" It is one scrolling dashboard that compares providers and facilities across all facilities in your subscription.

Signing in

  1. Open Vida at the address your organization provided.
  2. Click Continue with Microsoft and complete your normal Microsoft sign-in.
  3. You land directly on the dashboard.

There is no separate Vida password; sign-in uses Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on and closing the browser ends your session. If you see "Entra ID is not configured" with a disabled button, contact your administrator. Vida can be installed as an app: use your browser's install option to pin it to your desktop or home screen.

The header

  • Click the VIDA block to open the view switcher. Only Clinical Performance is live today; Operational, R&A, Outcomes and Financial are marked Soon.
  • The moon/sun toggle switches light and dark mode. The avatar menu has your name, email and Sign out. There are no settings pages or side navigation.

The context bar (always on screen)

  • Scope: Entire Health System or one facility. Sections 01, 02 and 04 recompute for the facility; section 03 always stays whole-system.
  • Live counts: facilities, providers and charts in your current slice. If the chart count collapses, conclusions rest on thin data.
  • Complaint chip: appears when you filter to one chief complaint. Click its ✕ to clear the filter; this is the only place to clear it.
  • 30D / 60D / 90D: the time window for every section. Exception: the trend drill-down is always the last 90 days.

How the dashboard is organized

Read it top to bottom, from system to person:

  1. 01 Overall Compliance by Domain: the headline score.
  2. 02 Compliance by Chief Complaint: which complaints are strong or weak.
  3. 03 Risk Distribution by Facility: how facilities cluster.
  4. 04 Risk Distribution by Provider: how providers cluster.
  5. 05 Outliers and System Actions: who needs attention and what is moving.

Score colors

  • 85% and up: Excellent
  • 60 to 84%: Good
  • Below 60%: Needs Improvement
  • N/A: no audited charts matched the filters. An empty window, never a zero.
